Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle is featured in the Chicago Architecture Biennial. The biennial, now in its second installment, will open to the public on September 16, 2017. For his participation in the biennial, Manglano-Ovalle will present a collection of sculptures including Beehive Grid 7 x 6, 2012; Bird in Space Prototype for Re-Entry, 2014; and Asteroid (Apophis), 2012.

In addition to his individual participation in the biennial, Manglano-Ovalle's work is also on view, SOM: Engineering [Art + Architecture] at Mana Contemporary Chicago, in collaboration with the biennial. The exhibition gives insight into SOM's engineering practices while highlighting their collaborations with visual artists, including models, drawings, and ephemera from projects created by Manglano-Ovalle, as well as Pablo Picasso, James Turrell, Jaume Plensa, James Carpenter, and Janet Echelman.
